Unlocking Private Sector Growth Potential

The IFC Private Enterprise Partnership for Africa was established in 2005 to stimulate private sector growth.

It establishes partnerships with donors, governments, and the private sector to design and deliver technical assistance programs and advisory services that improve the investment climate, mobilize private sector investment, and enhance the competitiveness of small- and medium-sized businesses.

PEP Africa offers its partners:
  • Capacity to design programs that respond to country-specific private sector development needs
  • Africa-wide network of local teams to implement programs
  • IFC's global expertise in one or more of its five main business areas
